  3. Raise the flag while using the outdoor shower and lower it when finished.

  4. Carry bear spray when exploring the property.

  5. Stay aware of your surroundings—watch for rattlesnakes on the ridge.

  6. Use designated walking paths where available to protect plants and reduce erosion.

  7. Conserve water and electricity whenever possible.

  8. Store food securely to avoid attracting wildlife.

  9. Practice “leave no trace” — pack out everything you bring in.

  10. Enjoy quiet hours (10 PM – 7 AM) to honor the stillness of nature and fellow guests.

🌿 What to Bring

For a safe and comfortable stay, we recommend packing:

  • Sunscreen

  • Lip balm

  • Saline solution

  • Insect repellent

  • Reusable water bottle

  • Comfortable walking shoes

  • Warm layers (nights can get chilly, even in summer)

🚫 Don’ts

  1. Don’t throw feminine products or non-biodegradable items in the outhouse.

  2. Don’t leave wood-burning stoves unattended unless the doors are closed.

  3. Don’t use hair dryers or heating tools (they can overload the system).

  4. Don’t feed wild animals—it’s dangerous for them and for you.

  5. Don’t eat unidentified plants or mushrooms.

  6. Don’t light fires on windy days or outside of designated fire areas.

  7. Don’t leave trash, food scraps, or recycling outside.

  8. Don’t bring glass near outdoor recreation areas.

  9. Don’t trespass onto neighboring properties without permission.
